Is it a pick-up or is it an SUV? It’s the best of both worlds and then some. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is built for adventure, excitement, and some serious trailblazing. Check out these awesome trail-ready features of the new Gladiator. 2020 Jeep Gladiator

A Strong Core

The Gladiator features a frame made of high-strength steel with Dana 44 heavy-duty axles in the front and rear to give it the strong core it needs to tow big loads and show durability as you put it to the test. If you’re looking to get away for the weekend to take on some trails, you can bring your camper along for the trip thanks to the 2020 Gladiator’s 7,650-pound towing capacity. If you want to bring along some ATVs or dirt bikes, the 1,700-pound payload capacity will get it done.

Trail Rated

No other pick-up truck on the market is Trail Rated like the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. This official mark of capability doesn’t come easy. The Gladiator had to prove itself. It’s rated for traction, water-fording, articulation, maneuverability, and ground clearance. Drive through streams or storm run-off up to 30 inches deep while you’re out in the woods with the Gladiator’s high air intake and water sealing.

Every trim comes with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 260 pound-feet of torque and either the 4:1 Rock-Trac four-wheel-drive system or the Command-Trac four-wheel-drive system for optimal traction. Opt for the Rubicon model to get the Rock-Trac system that offers an 84:1 crawl ratio that will get you up a steep slope or over massive rocks.

Well-Protected

Get out on the trails worry-free thanks to several features that protect the Gladiator from damage, even as it climbs over jagged rocks. Steel rock rails stretch across the bottom sills of the vehicle to absorb any impacts and avoid scraping up your cab. With front and rear tow hooks, you can help protect others if they get stuck in the mud or snow.

Skid plates under the vehicle are perfectly placed and made with high-strength steel to keep the fuel tank and transfer out of harm’s way even over the roughest terrain. Not only is the Gladiator well-protected but its driver and passengers are also kept safe with features like a high-strength steel build that directs any impact away from the cabin.

High-Tech

Jeep’s Off-Road+ system takes trail capability to a new level. Now you can adjust the Gladiator’s performance to match exactly what you’re looking for each time you get behind the wheel. Just push a button and you’ll be able to get this truck ready for highways, sand dunes, or rocks. Keep an eye on upcoming trail obstacles with the TrailCam Off-Road Camera. This camera displays the path ahead on your center console screen with gridlines for assistance with maneuvering.
