The Ridge Marketplace – Cafe at the Ridge
The Ridge Marketplace at 2590 Junction Highway offers some of the finest burgers in the area from its dedicated cafe. The area surrounding the cafe has numerous beautiful plants, and you can enjoy a burger while brightly-colored butterflies fly by. The staff is friendly and fast, and the portions are generous.
All the burgers are a 1/4lb, and you can choose from white sesame, honey oat wheat, or jalapeno cheese sourdough hoagies. In addition, your cheese toppings include American, Swiss, provolone, cheddar, or pepper jack. They have five signature burgers, and we love the cowboy burger with bacon, cheese, onion rings, and grilled jalapeno slices.
Billy Gene’s Restaurant
This restaurant has a wonderful view of the Guadalupe River as it meanders through Kerrville. When you visit, we recommend taking a seat on the back patio, which provides the best view of the river. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, with an at-home feel. Service is fast and friendly, and it seems like mere minutes before your fresh-cooked burger is in front of you.
All their burger patties are made in-house from 100% Angus beef. With six different burgers, you’re spoilt for choice. Our favorite is the chuckwagon burger, with two slices of American cheese, bacon, and an optional fried egg. Billy’s can be found at 1489 Junction Highway.
Grape Juice
A relatively new arrival on the scene, Grape Juice has been making waves with its great food. Their menu is geared towards good food with a twist, and their burgers certainly don’t disappoint. The atmosphere is vibrant but not loud, and the servers are friendly and eager to please. Their menu isn’t extensive, but they have four signature burgers that are guaranteed to please.
Our favorite is the boom-boom burger made from Wagyu beef, topped with candied onions and jalapenos, cream cheese, and candied jalapeno bacon. It’s a unique experience, and once tasted never forgotten. Grape is located in downtown Kerrville at 623 Water Street.
