The all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator is a midsize truck that’s based on the design of the Jeep Wrangler. What makes the Gladiator special is that it’s the only convertible truck on the market. Apart from its rugged Jeep look, the Gladiator offers best-in-class tow and payload ratings, a well-equipped and durable cargo bed, excellent off-road capability, and advanced available driver-assist features. 2020 Jeep Gladiator near Kerrville, TX

You can choose from four trims with the Gladiator, namely the Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon. Here’s some information on this unique and capable midsize truck.

Wrangler-Like Exterior

If you look at the Gladiator from the front, you’ll think that it’s a Wrangler, as it features the same design as the Wrangler Unlimited model. The only difference is that it features a 5-foot cargo bed in the rear. Like the Wrangler, you can remove the zipperless Sunrider soft top or the Freedom Top hardtop of the Gladiator, as well as its lightweight aluminum doors when you feel like getting in touch with the great outdoors.

Although the base trim is quite sparsely equipped, featuring 17-inch steel wheels, all-season tires, halogen headlights, fog lights, and manual door locks and mirrors, higher trims add many convenient features. These include heated and power-adjustable mirrors, side steps, automatic headlights, a power tailgate, and LED ambient footwell lighting.

Impressive Utility

The rugged all-steel cargo bed of the Gladiator will provide you with a best-in-class payload rating of 1,700 pounds. It’s also easy to access and equipped with many useful features. These include a three-position tailgate, LED cargo lighting, four integrated tie-down loops that you can adjust as needed, and an available 115-volt power outlet at the rear of the bed, where you can charge appliances.

To protect the surface of your bed and provide it with improved durability, opt for the available spray-in bed liner, or the available roll-up tonneau cover if you want cargo protection.

Powerful Engine

The Gladiator features a powerful 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive and six-speed manual transmission are standard, but you can opt for an available eight-speed automatic. When properly equipped, this engine will allow you to tow up to 7,650 pounds.

Superior Off-Road Performance

Every Gladiator wears the Trail-Rated badge and is equipped with heavy-duty Dana 44 axles, tow hooks, and skid plates. However, if you’re serious about off-roading, go for the off-road-ready Rubicon. It comes standard with lockable front and rear differentials, 33-inch all-terrain tires, an electronic disconnecting sway bar, rock rails, and fox shocks. To assist you with detecting obstacles, an available forward-facing TrailCam Off-Road Camera displays gridlines of the terrain in front of the tires to help you pick the best path.

Advanced Driver-Assist Features

With the Gladiator comes many available driver-assist features to keep you safe on and off the road. Available systems include blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with active braking, rear cross-path detection, and rear park assist.

Featuring best-in-class tow and payload ratings, excellent utility, a powerful engine, and advanced safety gear, the Gladiator is a midsize truck to take notice of. If you want to get to know the Gladiator a bit better, drop by Crenwelge Motors and take one for a test drive.
