Two Engine Choices

You can choose from two engines with the 2020 Renegade. The Sport and Latitude trims come with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. Standard on the Limited and Trailhawk trims and optional on the other two trims, is a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 177 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with a nine-speed automatic.

Except for the Trailhawk that features a special four-wheel system that includes low-range gearing, all models come standard with a front-wheel-drive system and all-wheel drive is optional.

Attractive Cabin

The cabin of the Renegade can accommodate up to five passengers and provides respectable head- and legroom for both rear and front passengers. The Renegade comes with an exciting choice of quality materials and color options, which allows drivers to opt for a combination that suits their personal taste. For instance, the High Altitude’s cabin features a black leather trim with Tungsten stitching, whereas the Limited trim boasts a black and gray perforated leather trim with tonal accent stitching.

For your convenience, the Renegade offers innovative storage solutions, such as a front-passenger seat footwell and an available adjustable cargo floor that you can move up for easier loading or down when you want more room. When you need to load large items, you can extend the standard cargo area of 18.5 cubic feet to 50.8 cubic feet by folding the back row down.

Modern Technology

With the Renegade, comes an intuitive entertainment system that’s equipped with standard features like a 5-inch screen, Bluetooth, six speakers, and a USB port. You can upgrade the system with many convenient features, such as a 7- or 8-inch display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, navigation, a nine-speaker Kenwood premium audio system, and HD radio.

The Renegade also boasts a whole bevy of available advanced driver-assist systems to keep you safe on the road. These include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, parallel and perpendicular assist, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.

Excellent Off-Road Capability

The off-road-focused Trailhawk trim comes standard with impressive off-road features, such as underbody skid plates, a raised suspension, hill descent control, and all-terrain tires. It also boasts the Jeep Active Drive Low all-wheel-drive system that delivers a 21:1 crawl ratio. To help your Renegade adapt to a variety of surfaces like snow, mud, sand, or rocks, opt for the available Selec-Terrain Traction Management system.
