Emma + Ollie

As one of the newer dining establishments in nearby Fredericksburg, Emma + Ollie opened its doors in late 2018, thanks to the Pastry Queen, Rebecca Rather. Named after her great-aunt and her business partner’s grandmother, the eatery is open for breakfast Wednesday through Saturday and for brunch on Sunday. Stop in and order beignets adorned with a mound of powdered sugar, biscuits with sausage and tomato gravy, and organic oatmeal. If you need a protein fix, try the Rancho Loma Bowl, which includes red quinoa, black beans, tomatillo salsa, fried egg, greens and Mexican crema.

Farm Haus Bistro

Found on Whitney Street at the Fredericksburg Herb Farm, Farm Haus Bistro uses its fresh-grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs in its restaurant. At the center of the restaurant is a historic rock house built in the late 1890s, and the seats highlight the stunning landscape thanks to numerous windows. Popular breakfast and brunch options include eggs benedict, the Farm Haus omelet, and an almond waffle.

Old German Bakery and Restaurant

Established in 1975 on West Main Street in Fredericksburg, the Old German Bakery and Restaurant is a family-friendly establishment that serves breakfast all day. Owner Lutz Henschel spent two decades as a baker in Germany and then moved to the United States in 1998 to take over the business. Under his guidance, the restaurant serves authentic German bread and pastries cooked fresh daily. All of its dishes are made from scratch. You can enjoy German pancakes, potato pancakes, waffles, omelets, and French toast.

Sunset Grill

Found on South Adams Street in Fredericksburg, Sunset Grill offers dishes created with the freshest ingredients grown by local farmers. As one of the more popular restaurants in Kerrville, Sunset Grill bills itself as a classic American bistro. Order off the restaurant’s weekday breakfast menu, which includes country biscuit and sausage gravy, huevos rancheros, Tex-Mex scramble, and caramelized banana French toast. It also serves a variety of specialty three-egg omelets that come with toast and home-style potatoes. Try the French lady, which includes bacon, Brie cheese, red bell peppers, baby spinach, and fresh mushrooms.

Woerner Warehouse Cafe and Catering

Located in the iconic Woerner Feed Store on South Lincoln Street in Fredericksburg, Woerner Warehouse Cafe and Catering utilizes fresh local produce to serve delicious food. Breakfast is served Monday through Saturday from 9 until 11 a.m. and includes breakfast biscuit sandwiches, avocado toast, and fresh quiche. Gluten-free bread and vegetarian options are available.
